Project SEARCH Webinar on October 29 Focuses on Preparing for Competitive Employment
New Jersey families looking for practical employment pathways may want to mark October 29, 2026 on the calendar.
The New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities is hosting a free webinar called 'Project SEARCH: Preparing Students and Adults with IDD for Competitive Integrated Employment' from noon to 1 p.m.
Project SEARCH is a transition-to-work internship model that gives students and adults with disabilities hands-on workplace experience while helping them build skills needed to obtain and keep competitive employment.
For families and support coordinators, programs like Project SEARCH can provide a more concrete bridge between school, skill-building, and paid work.
Friendly Connections encourages families to explore multiple employment pathways and choose the supports that best match each person’s interests, strengths, and goals.
