For many people with disabilities, one of the biggest questions about working is whether earning more money could put important health coverage at risk.

New Jersey’s Division of Developmental Disabilities is hosting a free webinar on October 22, 2026, focused on NJ WorkAbility. The program is designed to help eligible people with disabilities work and earn income while maintaining Medicaid coverage.

The webinar is part of New Jersey’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month series and is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m.

Families, support coordinators, and people considering employment may find this session especially useful because benefits questions can become a major source of stress when someone is thinking about taking a job, increasing hours, or earning more.

Friendly Connections encourages families to use trusted state resources when making employment and benefits decisions. Understanding the rules before making a change can help people feel more confident about pursuing work and greater independence.
