We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Freehold, New Jersey. This is an in-person, community-based, part-time position. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required for this position.
Position details
Location: Freehold, New Jersey
Pay: $20 per hour
Schedule: Approximately 4 hours per week, currently Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with opportunities for additional hours.
Work setting: In person
About the role
Direct Support Professionals help people with disabilities participate in their communities, build independence, work toward personal goals, and take part in meaningful activities and relationships.
Typical responsibilities include supporting community outings and activities, helping with life skills and individualized goals, providing transportation when required by the assignment, maintaining accurate documentation, and communicating professionally with our staff, families, support coordinators, and other members of the support team.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, complete required background checks and training, and be able to work independently in community-based settings. Applicants must be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) for this Freehold assignment.
Previous disability-support experience is preferred but not required.
