Friendly Connections is recruiting local Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for community-based support opportunities in Cherry Hill, Camden County, New Jersey. We currently have two separate part-time staffing needs in this area. Positions are in person, not remote.
Cherry Hill position details
Location: Cherry Hill, NJ. Pay: $20 per hour. One assignment is approximately 8 hours per week; a second assignment is approximately 2 hours per week. Both generally require weekday daytime availability. These are separate assignments and are not guaranteed to be combined for one applicant. Final scheduling and placement details will be discussed during recruitment.
What a DSP does
Our Direct Support Professionals help people with disabilities participate in their communities, strengthen independence, pursue personal goals, and build skills and relationships. Work may include supporting community activities, daily routines, goal-directed tasks, transport where authorized and required, and accurate service notes. DSPs communicate professionally with the agency and authorized support team.
Who can apply
We welcome dependable, respectful candidates with an interest in helping people. Relevant backgrounds may include caregiving, education, recreation, human services, customer service and other people-focused jobs. Prior DSP experience is helpful but not always necessary. Applicants must meet background screening, onboarding, training, transportation and driving requirements for their assigned role. Candidates who transport individuals must meet applicable driving age and insurance requirements.
