We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ewing, New Jersey. This is an in-person, community-based role supporting people with disabilities.
Position details
Location: Ewing, New Jersey Pay: $20 per hour Schedule: Approximately 4 to 10 hours per week depending on the current assignment, including evening and weekend schedules. Work setting: In person
Current assignments include community activities, transportation support, life-skills development, and helping individuals participate more independently in everyday life.
What you will do
Support people respectfully and professionally.
Help with individualized goals, community participation, communication, organization, and day-to-day activities relevant to the role.
Maintain accurate documentation and protect confidentiality.
Communicate with our staff, families, and other members of the support team as appropriate.
Follow our policies and applicable New Jersey requirements.
Qualifications
Dependable, professional, and comfortable working directly with people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to complete required onboarding and ongoing training.
For DSP and Job Coach roles, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation may be required because community transportation is part of the work.
DSP applicants must meet the role's current age, education, driving, CPR/First Aid, and program requirements.
