We are currently recruiting for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Piscataway, New Jersey. This is an in-person, community-based, part-time role currently advertised at $20 per hour.
About the role
Direct Support Professionals help people with disabilities participate in their communities, build independence, work toward personal goals, and take part in meaningful activities and relationships.
Typical responsibilities may include:
Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, shopping, and social activities.
Helping with life skills, communication, technology use, and individualized goals.
Providing job coaching or employment support when assigned.
Providing transportation using a personal vehicle when required by the assignment.
Maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality.
Communicating professionally with our staff, families, and support-team members.

Location: Piscataway, New Jersey Pay: $20 per hour Employment type: Part-time Work setting: In person
Schedules and weekly hours vary by individual assignment and can change as service needs change.
Qualifications
Must enjoy working with and helping people.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
Driving record that meets current agency requirements.
First Aid and CPR certification.
Ability to complete required initial and ongoing training.
Ability to meet applicable New Jersey program and agency requirements.
